This article addresses the case of the Viñamarina singer-songwriter Paz Miranda and her homonymous project, with the purpose of approaching the concept of fusion in indie music and its sound and social expression in the province of Valparaíso (Chile). According to the musical analysis made, it is revealed that her debut album, "Desvelado Punto Cardinal", is influenced by jazz, with elements of Latin American music also appearing. On the other hand, the concept of "amiguismo", examined by Shannon Garland, is key to understanding the development of the Paz Miranda project and other local music, since they are produced through interpersonal favors, and the interconnection of musicians and workers in the field.Este artículo aborda el caso de la cantautora viñamarina Paz Miranda y su proyecto homónimo, con el propósito de hacer un acercamiento al concepto de fusión en la música independiente y su expresión sonora y social en la provincia de Valparaíso (Chile). De acuerdo al análisis musical realizado, se revela que su álbum debut, "Desvelado Punto Cardinal", está influenciado por el jazz, apareciendo también elementos de músicas latinoamericanas.
