| dc.description | El artículo se enmarca en la discusión acerca de la inclusión de la música tradicional en el contexto de la educación formal en Chile. La investigación se basa en observaciones y entrevistas en torno a las actividades que realizan las bandas de bronces de la Región de Tarapacá (Chile) en los diferentes espacios sociales en que éstas participan, para finalmente analizar cómo estas experiencias musicales se pueden convertir en un aporte para la enseñanza-aprendizaje dentro del sistema educativo chileno. Los resultados sugieren una gran potencialidad de las músicas de las bandas para un aprendizaje significativo e interdisciplinar en el aula. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This paper adds to the discussion about the inclusion of traditional music in formal education in Chile. The research is based on observations and interviews about the activities of the brass bands in the region of Tarapacá (Chile) in the different social spaces where they participate, followed by analysis of how these musical experiences can make a contribution to teaching and learning within the Chilean educational system. The results suggest that the music of the bands holds great potential for meaningful, interdisciplinary learning in the classroom. | en-US |
