dc.descriptionThe genus To^a is registered for first time in Chile, represented for the species To^a argentinensis(Muir, 1929), widely spread in northern y central agricultural areas of Argentina. It was detected from prospections carry out on the Azapa valley, Región of Arica y Parinacota, Chile. In this contribuí ion some notes and illustrations about the most relevant specific morphological characteristics are given as well as geographical distribution, natural enemies and host plant.en-US
dc.descriptionSe menciona por primera vez al género Toya para Chile, representado por la especie Toya argentinensis(Muir, 1929), especie ampliamente distribuida en áreas agrícolas del norte y centro de la Argentina. En Chile fue capturada en el Valle de Azapa, Región de Arica y Parinacota. En esta contribución se enuncian e ilustran los caracteres diagnósticos más relevantes de la especie y se aportan nuevos datos acerca de la distribución geográfica, enemigos naturales y las especies vegetales que le sirven de hospederos.es-ES
