dc.descriptionThis study expects to be a demystification of the person and work of the Argentinean poet Alejandra Pizarnik. To do so, we elaborate an analysis of the jail as an obsessive motif in the poem “El despertar” that allows us to explain the birth of the “personaje alejandrino” as well as some of its main traits: loneliness and isolation. The literary theory that supports this work is the psychocriticism of Charles Mauron. However, we distance ourselves from this theory when we discover that this character is a voluntary product –and not an unconscious one– of the poet, who is forced to create an author figure to exist in a literary world dominated by men. To sum up, this work appears as an answer to the common use of the myth based on the biography of Pizarnik to analyse her literary work. In this practice we discover once again the habitual mythification –mainly in women artists– of mental illness and suicide.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente análisis constituye un intento de desmitificación de la persona y la obra de la poeta argentina Alejandra Pizarnik. Con este objeto, se aborda el motivo obsesivo de la jaula en el poema “El despertar” que permite una aproximación al nacimiento del personaje alejandrino y a algunas de sus principales características, a saber, la soledad y la incomunicación. La teoría literaria que sustenta el trabajo es la psicocrítica de Charles Mauron, de la que, sin embargo, nos desvinculamos cuando descubrimos que el personaje alejandrino es un producto voluntario –y no inconsciente– de la poeta, que se ve obligada a crear una figura de autora que pueda existir en el panorama literario dominado por los hombres. En resumen, este trabajo surge como respuesta ante el uso común del mito basado en la biografía de Pizarnik como base para el análisis literario, en el que se revela una vez más la romantización habitual –primordialmente, en artistas mujeres– de la enfermedad mental y el suicidio.es-ES
