| dc.description | A pilot study was carried out to find out some methodological variables of the Verbal-Hearing-Musical Program, (V.H.M. Program) aimed at the rehabilitation of dyslexic children. The first unit of the Program was applied to 6 dyslexic children of low socioeconomic status, whose ages fluctuated between 8 and 10 years, two of them being male and the remaining four, female. It was found that six work sessions would be enough to conclude the first Unit of Module 1. Regarding the number of children per group, two monitors thought that individual work was recommended at least in this first Unit. Two sessions a week of 45 minutes each, was another of the results found. Finally, regarding the behavior of the children, it was found in the behavioral area that attention, interest and understanding of instructions were favorable for the application of the Program. In the area of reading, there was an adequate follow-up of the reading, with diminishing support, high comprehension of what was read, effort to achieve an individual reading, and only difficulties in the quality of the reading were evident (which is to be expected when starting the process of learning to read and write). In the rhythmic-musical area, all the aspects evaluated were favorable. There was mostly an immediate grasp of symbology, fluid execution of rhythmic structures and no difficulty in apprehending the growing complexity of rhythmic-musical structures. It was concluded that with this background, the effectiveness of the V.H.M Program can be tested in an experimental design. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se realizó un estudio piloto para conocer algunas variable de tipo metodológico del Programa Verbal-Auditivo-Musical, (Programa V.A.M.) destinado a la rehabilitación de niños disléxicos. Se aplicó la primera unidad del Programa a 6 niños disléxicos de estrato socioeconómico bajo, cuyas edades fluctuaban entre los 8 y los 10 años, siendo dos de ellos varones y las cuatro restantes, mujeres. Se encontró que seis sesiones de trabajo serían suficientes para concluir la primera Unidad del Módulo 1. Respecto del número de niños por grupo, dos monitores opinaron que al menos en esta primera Unidad se recomendaba trabajo individual. Dos sesiones a la semana de 45 minutos cada una, fue otro de los resultados encontrados. Finalmente respecto del comportamiento de los niños, se encontró en el área conductual que la atención, el interés y la comprensión de instrucciones, fueron favorables para la aplicación del Programa. En el área de la lectura hubo un adecuado seguimiento de la lectura, con un apoyo disminuyente, alta comprensión de lo léido, esfuerzo por lograr una lectura individual y sólo se evidenciaron dificultades en la calidad de la lectura (lo que es esperable cuando se inicia el proceso de aprendizaje de la lecto-escritura). En el área rítmico-musical todos los aspectos evaluados fueron favorables. Hubo mayoritariamente una captación inmediata de simbología, fluída ejecución de estructuras rítmicas y ninguna dificultad para aprehender la complejidad creciente de estructuras rítmico-musicales. Se concluyó que con estos antecedentes se puede poner a prueba la efectividad del Programa V.A.M en un diseño experimental. | es-ES |
