dc.descriptionThis article presents the information produced from the analysis of secondary sources, mainly 69 scientific articles from the Scielo-Chile and Scopus databases, where the aim is to identify what and how research has been conducted on childhood in Chile, in the period between 2005 and 2019. The proposed exercise seeks to identify and characterise the notions behind the ways of conceptualising children. The selected corpus was subjected to a thematic categorical content analysis, from which central categories such as the notion of subject/object, implications for social intervention, and methodologies used emerge. It is concluded that views on childhood coexist, ranging from placing the child as an object of protection, study and care, to considering him/her as a subject of rights.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo presenta la información producida a partir del análisis de fuente secundaria, fundamentalmente, de 69 artículos científicos provenientes de las bases de datos Scielo-Chile y Scopus, donde se pretende identificar qué y cómo se ha investigado sobre niñez en Chile, en el período comprendido entre los años 2005 y 2019. El ejercicio propuesto busca identificar y caracterizar las nociones que están detrás de los modos de conceptualizar a los niños. El corpus seleccionado fue sometido a un análisis de contenido categorial temático, del cual emergen categorías centrales como noción del sujeto/objeto, implicancias para la intervención social y metodologías utilizadas. Se concluye que coexisten miradas sobre la niñez que van desde ubicar al niño como objeto de protección, estudio y cuidado, hasta considerarlo sujeto de derechos.es-ES
