Based on the circulating photo-reports in the illustrated Chilean weekly Sucesos and Zig Zag during the first decades of the 20th century, the process in which identity differences were established between the Peruvian, Bolivian and Chilean neighborhoods after the Pacific War is analyzed, with special emphasis on the opposition of Chilean virtuous national narratives and discourses, with a negative discursive plot regarding Peru and Bolivia; its culture, past and population.A partir de los fotorreportajes circulantes en los semanarios ilustrados chilenos Sucesos y Zig Zag durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX, se analiza el proceso donde se establecieron diferencias identitarias entre la vecindad peruana, boliviana y chilena post Guerra del Pacífico, con especial acento en la oposición de relatos y discursos nacionales virtuosos chilenos, con una trama discursiva negativa respecto al Perú y Bolivia; su cultura, pasado y población.
