| dc.description | In the following lines you will find observations on the behavior of the Brazilian adolescent population about their eating habits and their incidence in obesity indexes. Dr. Bankof and the researching team intend to explain the causes of the epidemiologic phenomenon that Brazil is suffering in respect to obesity. It also makes reference to the relationship with other chronical degenerative pathologies caused by obesity (diabetes, hypertension, cardiopathies, among others). The purpose is to demonstrate that physical activity is a correcting agent of these deficiencies and that the modification of sedentary lifestyle and eating habits may reduce the problems associated to obesity. | dc.description | En las siguientes líneas se encuentran observaciones acerca del comportamiento de la población adolescente brasilera en cuanto a sus hábitos alimentarios y su incidencia en los índices de obesidad. La Dra. Bankof y su equipo de investigadores intenta explicar las causas del fenómeno epidemiológico que está sufriendo el Brasil con respecto a la obesidad. Así también se hace referencia a su relación con otras patologías crónico degenerativas desencadenadas por la obesidad (diabetes, hipertensión, cardiopatías, entre otras). Se intenta demostrar que la actividad física es un agente corrector de estas deficiencias y que la modificación de hábitos sedentarios y de alimentación permiten reducir los problemas asociados con la obesidad.
