This article is based on a study carried out by the Physical Education Department of the "Universidad Católica del Maule". Some measurements (cutaneous fold and IMC) were taken to determine the corporal composition of students from 10 to 18 years old in our region. Here is a brief analysis of the data obtained and the consequences related to the quality of life the people of this region will have in the future if nothing is done about the results obtained.Este artículo se basa en un estudio realizado por el Departamento de Educación Física de la UCM en el cual se hicieron algunas mediciones (Pliegues cutáneos y IMC) buscando conocer la composición corporal de los escolares de 10 a 18 años en nuestra región. Aquí hacemos un breve análisis de los datos como también las consecuencias en cuanto a calidad de vida que a futuro tendrá esta población sino no se revierten prontamente los resultados allí encontrados.
