Cyberbullying in Chile: evidence and pathways for future research from a systematic review

dc.descriptionCyberbullying is a phenomenon investigated worldwide because of the effect generated on those involved. This study aims to know the current state of research on cyberbullying in Chile. We used the PRISMA statement for systematic reviews and the search was developed in the Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO and EBSCO databases, resulting initially in 27 articles. 10 articles were included in the final analysis. The characteristics of the research were analyzed, and a content analysis was made based on suggestions for future studies. The findings indicate that most of the articles presented a quantitative methodology, addressed the Metropolitan Region and incorporated individual and contextual variables. The content analysis identified two major categories related to the continuity of the studies in Chile. The importance of the findings and the need to continue studying the phenomenon are highlighted.en-US
dc.descriptionEl ciberacoso es un fenómeno investigado a nivel mundial debido al efecto generado en los involucrados. Este estudio busca conocer el estado actual de la investigación sobre ciberacoso en Chile. Utilizamos la declaración PRISMA para revisiones sistemáticas y la búsqueda se desarrolló en las bases de datos Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO y EBSCO, arrojando inicialmente 27 artículos. Se incluyeron 10 artículos en el análisis final. Se analizaron las características de dichas investigaciones y se realizó sobre estos un análisis de contenido con base en las sugerencias para futuros estudios. Los resultados indican que la mayoría de los artículos presentaron una metodología cuantitativa, se realizaron en la Región Metropolitana, e incorporaron variables individuales y contextuales. En el análisis de contenido se identificaron dos grandes categorías relacionadas con la continuidad de los estudios en Chile. Se destaca la importancia de los hallazgos y la necesidad de continuar estudiando el fenómeno.es-ES
