In this paper we intend to study the notion of individuality in relation to civic commitment following the thought of Victoria Camps. Firstly, we will address the concept of ethics as a moral experience to constitute the social and human condition, through the good use of virtues; then, we will deal with the concept of the individual, seeing its preponderance in our contemporary society and the constant dialectic search between personal identity and collective identities. Finally, we will look at the connections of identification and belonging of the individual being in connection with the community.En este trabajo pretendemos estudiar la noción de individualidad en relación con el compromiso ciudadano siguiendo el pensamiento de Victoria Camps. Se abordará, primeramente, el concepto de ética como experiencia moral para constituir la condición social y humana, a través del buen empleo de las virtudes; para luego, tratar el concepto de individuo, viendo su preponderancia en nuestra sociedad contemporánea y la constante búsqueda dialéctica entre identidad personal e identidades colectivas. Para así, finalmente, ver las conexiones de identificación y pertenencia del ser individuos en conexión con la comunidad.
