| dc.description | It is traditionally assumed that children are incapable of assimilating complex languages or content because is assumed that they still do not have the necessary tools and learning. In opposition, the Chilean children's music group Mazapán (1980-) offers a proposal that addresses a diverse and wide range of musical traditions, periods, and styles, involving the use of complex resources and procedures. Considering as references the history and sociology of childhood, the songs of the group were analyzed, confirming a conception and assessment of the children as complex receiving entities with agency capacity. | en-US |

En oposición, la agrupación chilena de música para la infancia Mazapán (1980-) ofrece una propuesta que aborda una diversa y amplia gama de tradiciones, períodos y estilos musicales, involucrando el uso de recursos y procedimientos complejos. Teniendo como referentes la historia y sociología de la infancia, se analizaron las canciones de la agrupación, constatándose una concepción y valoración de las/los niña/os como entidades receptoras complejas y con capacidad de agencia. | es-ES |
