dc.descriptionIntroducción: La lactancia materna constituye un factor primordial en el desarrollo inicial del niño/a, esto debido a sus variados beneficios que apoyan el desarrollo integral, tanto físico como cognitivo. Objetivo: Contextualizar y argumentar sobre la implementación de políticas e intervenciones para fomentar la lactancia materna exclusiva en la atención primaria en  Chile. Desarrollo: Es destacada la función de distintos programas de fomento de la lactancia tales como: “Hospital amigo del niño y de la madre”, Programa de protección de la infancia “Chile Crece Contigo” entre otros, además que se evidencia el ajuste de la legislación laboral y sanitaria con el propósito de garantizar el derecho a la lactancia. Conclusiones: En general, Chile es un país en donde la estructura político social y asistencial beneficia la Lactancia Materna Exclusiva. Esto permite a las madres mantener un estilo de vida que les permita hasta cierto punto trabajar y fomentar la LME.es-ES
dc.descriptionIntroduction: Breastfeeding constitutes an important factor in the early development of children due to the many benefits it grants during their growth, both physical and cognitive. Objective: contextualize and argue about the implementation of policies and interventions to promote exclusive breastfeeding in primary care in Chile. Develoment: Underlining the functions of different programs aimed towards the promotion of breastfeeding such as the "Mom and Kids' Friendly Hospital", childhood protection programs such as "Chile Grows with You" and others, while there is also a noticeable adjustment to labor and health laws with the purpose of guaranteeing the right to breastfeeding. Conclusions: In general, Chile is a country where the political, social and welfare structure benefits the LME. This allows mothers to maintain a lifestyle that allows them to work to some extent and encourages EBF.en-US
