The approach to the rehabilitation of the centre aims to promote the use of the building as a social catalyst for the neighborhood: on the one hand, it is spatially conceived as an urbansphere of relationships, as an extension of the free space of the sector in which it is inserted, and on the other hand, the intervention in the epidermis of the building seeks the idea of configuring a building frame that can be a support for the creative production of the users of the Youth Space.en-US
dc.descriptionEl vallisoletano polígono XXV Años de Paz de 1964 constituyó en su momento un ejemplo de crecimiento residencial de gran calidad de los llevados a cabo por el régimen franquista. Recientemente, dentro de una operación de regeneración del ámbito, se ha acometido la recuperación del antiguo centro recreativo del polígono como un nuevo Espacio Joven, en una intervención radical sobre el edificio que ha permitido crear un foco de atracción para la juventud de toda la zona norte de la ciudad. El modo de abordar la rehabilitación del centro se encuentra orientado a incentivar el uso del edificio como un catalizador social del barrio: por un lado, se concibe espacialmente como un ámbito urbano de relación, como extensión del espacio libre del sector en el que se inserta y, por otro, la intervención en la epidermis del edificio busca la idea de configurar un edificio-bastidor que pueda ser soporte de la producción creativa de los usuarios del Espacio Joven.es-ES
