| dc.description | This paper investigates the individual and collective Mapuche writings between 1990 and 2010 from two concepts –self-determination and nation– while emphasizing the main authors that participated in this debate. The analysis aims to understand the tenets and relevance of the concept of self-determination in contemporary Mapuche political thought, as well as to study the conceptual uses of the idea of nation. Methodologically, the essay reviews a corpus of Mapuche media, particularly bulletins, magazines, and newspapers found in different archives. At a theoretical level, it is based on the discussion between the principle of self-determination and its relevance for indigenous rights and on the question of the nation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo tiene como propósito indagar en las escrituras individuales y colectivas mapuche entre 1990 y 2010 a partir de dos conceptos y, al mismo tiempo, dar relevancia a las principales autorías que fueron parte de este debate. El análisis pretende comprender las características, la importancia y significado del concepto de autodeterminación de los pueblos en el pensamiento político mapuche contemporáneo, así como estudiar los usos de la idea de nación. Metodológicamente se constituye desde un corpus escritural presente de diversos medios de comunicación mapuche, particularmente boletines, revistas y periódicos, encontrados en diferentes archivos. A nivel teórico, se asienta en la discusión entre el principio de autodeterminación y su aplicación para los derechos indígenas y sobre la cuestión de la nación. | es-ES |
