dc.descriptionThe rearticulation of the Pobladores/as movement in Chile has been identified as a phenomenon of resistance to the neo-liberal forms of production of cities. While contemporary mobilizations for urban housing and the city have led to the analysis of ruptures and continuities expressed by the demands, and the kinds of repertoires that connect them to the historical past of this movement, less has been discussed about how these ruptures and continuities are woven by the recollections of the female participants, who make up most of this movement. Based on ethnographic research work with the Ukamau Movement (Santiago, Chile), we discuss the construction of intergenerational and gendered memories of the female participants and how the meanings of past and present experiences are articulated with their processes of political subjectivation as settlers through assemblages of memories. We conclude that in developing these assemblages, gendered cultural knowledge is asserted and mobilized that enables the female participants, drawing from the past, to re-create future expectations regarding their role in the production of the city.en-US
dc.descriptionLa rearticulación del Movimiento de Pobladores/as en Chile se identifica como un fenómeno de resistencia a las formas de producción neoliberal de las ciudades. Las movilizaciones contemporáneas por la vivienda y la ciudad han llevado al análisis de las rupturas y las continuidades que expresan y los repertorios que les conectan con el pasado de este movimiento, pero poco se ha discutido sobre cómo estas rupturas y continuidades son tejidas por las memorias de las mujeres participantes, quienes conforman la mayoría de este movimiento. A partir de una investigación etnográfica con el Movimiento Ukamau (Santiago, Chile), se discute la construcción de las memorias intergeneracionales y generizadas de las mujeres participantes y cómo las significaciones de experiencias pasadas y presentes se articulan con sus procesos de subjetivación política mediante ensamblajes de las memorias. Se concluye que en estas elaboraciones se afirma y moviliza un conocimiento cultural generizado que posibilita a las participantes, desde el pasado, recrear expectativas de futuro sobre su papel en la producción de la ciudad.es-ES
