dc.descriptionIn the neoliberal urban context of a heavily touristified city such as Valdivia (Chile), this research seeks to address issues that allow us to gradually compose the idea that there is an “other” city, opposed to the space imagined from the hegemonic discourse around the recreational city. The aim is to reveal a series of "spaces of resistance" that can shed light on a range of values and attributes that, from the periphery, allow us to reconfigure ideas about a livable city and the commons. Using the concept of an ethos under constant construction helped us reveal a dimension of the character of this southern city, thus nourishing and rediscovering the idea of a city with a vibrant inner life based on human values that emerge from spatial practices, which are often spontaneous and unknown, and with ideas opposed to those of the space of the imagined city. Thirty-five spatial micropractices were gathered, seeking to weave with their reading some sort of invisible manifesto. Thus, thirteen concrete notions of microurbanism emerged, which allowed us to define it locally as a critical practice of intervention of space at the small-scale and as inputs for a culture of equality and the commons.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el contexto urbano neoliberal de una ciudad fuertemente turistificada como Valdivia del sur de Chile, esta investigación intenta componer gradualmente la idea de su espacio vivido, donde hay una ciudad “otra”, contrapuesta al espacio imaginado desde el discurso hegemónico en torno a la ciudad recreacional. Se busca develar una serie de “espacios de resistencia” que pueden arrojar luz acerca de valores y atributos que desde lo periférico permitan reconfigurar la idea de espacio vivido en Valdivia. Usando el concepto de ideario en constante construcción nos ayudó a develar una dimensión de la personalidad de esta ciudad sureña y, con ello, a nutrir y redescubrir la idea de una ciudad con una vida interior riquísima, basada en valores humanos que surgen en torno a praxis espaciales, muchas veces espontáneas y desconocidas, y con ideales contrapuestos a las del espacio de la ciudad imaginada. Se recolectaron 35 micro prácticas espaciales intentando tejer con su lectura una suerte de manifiesto invisible, cuyo abordaje produjo 13 nociones concretas de micro urbanismo, el cual pudo ser localmente definido como práctica crítica de intervención del espacio a pequeña escala y, como práctica creadora de insumos para una cultura de la igualdad y de bienes comunes.es-ES
