This present work aims to visualize Marcel's ontological understanding, starting from the anthropological reality devoid of meaning to project towards a comprehension of being in itself in all its ontological and vital categories, not only from a metaphysical distance, but also as a vital reality that influences the definition of meaning. The being that Marcel presents is open, not an object that can be reduced to an objective vision, as human beings do in their desire to know. The experience of Being is a profound and metaphysical condition of human beings that transcends the objective vision of reality and invites us to think from the depths of the human condition. Man is no longer understood only as the subject that happens in objective reality, but he is directed to find himself in subjectivity as a space for encounter with Being. Taking into account the conceptual and dialogical development of the encyclical Fides et ratio that sheds light on the problem of silence and mystery, the ontological relationship becomes the foundation of existence starting from the "I am". To later understand that the definition of being is not a mental category as such, but rather a structuring based on concrete experience in relation to being.El presente trabajo pretende visualizar la comprensión ontológica de Marcel, a partir de la realidad antropológica desprovista de sentido para proyectarse a una comprensión del ser en sí mismo en todas sus categorías ontológicas y vitales, no solo desde la lejanía metafísica sino también como realidad vital que incide sobre todo en la definición de sentido. El ser que Marcel presenta es abierto, no un objeto que se pueda reducir a una visión objetiva como lo hace el ser humano en su deseo de conocer. La experiencia del Ser es una condición profunda y metafísica del ser humano que trasciende a la visión objetiva de la realidad e invita a pensarse desde la profundidad de la condición humana. El hombre ya no solo se entiende como el sujeto que acontece en la realidad objetiva sino que se encamina a encontrarse en la subjetividad como espacio de encuentro con el Ser. Tomando en cuenta el desarrollo conceptual y dialógico de la encíclica Fides et ratio que da luces para comprender el problema del silencio y el misterio. De ahí que la relación ontológica se constituye en fundamento de la existencia a partir del “yo soy”. Para después comprender que ladefinición del ser no es una categoría mental como tal, sino más bien una estructuración a partir de la vivencia concreta en relación con el ser.
