| dc.description | Para la historiografía la frontera sur de la Araucanía ha sufrido, durante la segunda mitad del Siglo XIX, un punto de inflexión notable y único, la llegada de inmigrantes germanos. De igual manera, el resto de la población local ha aparecido en un segundo plano, muchas veces tanto como obstaculizador o comparsa de los impulsos modernizadores de los colonos. Conociendo lo anterior, y sin esperar generar un cambio diametral, nos hemos centrado en este trabajo en tales poblaciones de nacionales, cómo fueron afectados por la inmigración y cómo se enfrentaron a los cambios coyunturales que remecieron los cimientos de su sociedad. | es-ES |
