Environmental ethics, as applied ethics, thinks about the responsibility that human beings have with their environment, a thought that has become necessary given the relationship that man has today with the environment, there is, among other things, an abuse of the resources it provides. Until today, such serious effects had not been evidenced, both for the environment and for the life of the human being. For this reason, it is necessary to generate a positive, real and pragmatic change that allows human beings to be responsible for caring for their environment. Considering the theological-philosophical aspects pointed out by pope Francis, with Hans Jonas's approach of an ethics for technological civilization, it is that, in this research, it is hoped to channel both lines of thought about responsibility towards practical ideas for human action in favor of biodiversity. In addition to recognizing the role of responsible administrator that the human being has, a role that should point towards an ethic oriented to the future, respecting the position of the human being responsible for the ecosystem and its biodiversity.La ética del medio ambiente, como ética aplicada, reflexiona acerca de la responsabilidad que tiene el ser humano con su entorno, reflexión que se ha vuelto necesaria dada la relación que tiene hoy el hombre con el medio ambiente, en el que existe, entre otras cosas, un abuso de los recursos que este provee. Hasta hoy no se habían evidenciado efectos tan graves, tanto para el entorno como para la vida del ser humano. Por esto es necesario que se genere un cambio positivo, real y pragmático que permita al ser humano ser responsable del cuidado de su entorno. Considerando los aspectos teológico-filosóficos señalados por el papa Francisco, en conjunto con el planteamiento de Hans Jonas de una ética para la civilización tecnológica, es que, en esta investigación, se espera canalizar ambas líneas de pensamiento acerca de la responsabilidad hacia ideas prácticas para el actuar humano en pro de la biodiversidad. Además de reconocer el rol de administrador responsable que tiene el ser humano, rol que debe apuntar hacia una ética orientada al futuro, respetando la posición del ser humano responsable del ecosistema y su biodiversidad.
