| dc.description | The present text has as its fundamental objective to analyze the liberating mission of the Latin American church from the conclusive document of the Second Episcopal Conference held in the city of Medellin. In the 60s and until the beginning of the 70s there was a set of challenges that worsened the crisis in Latin America, due to lack of economic and social policies of the rulers and the poor solidity of the democracies. It was a period of demands of popular organizations and even of some revolution-ary movements that aspired to structural changes in the different countries. In those years, after centuries of dependency and inequalities, several Latin American coun-tries saw some possibilities of liberation and equity. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente texto tiene como objetivo fundamental analizar la misión liberadora de la iglesia de Latinoamérica desde el documento conclusivo de la Segunda Conferencia Episcopal celebrada en la ciudad de Medellín. En los años 60 y hasta principios de los 70 hubo un conjunto de desafíos que agudizaron la crisis en América Latina, por falta de políticas económicas y sociales de los gobernantes y la poca solidez de las democracias. Fue un período de reivindicaciones de las organizaciones populares e incluso de algunos movimientos revolucionarios que aspiraban a cambios estructurales en los distintos países. En aquellos años, después de siglos de dependencia y desigualdades, varios países latinoamericanos veían algunas posibilidades de liberación y equidad. | es-ES |
