| dc.description | This article deals with one of the privileged areas in the theological reception of the Second Vatican Council in Argentina. It is based on a recent edition of texs of the expert team meetings of the Episcopal Pastoral Commission of the years 1968 and 1969 on the preparation and reception of the Medellin Documents. It rescues the un-derstanding of Latin America as a set of independent nations integrated in a Great Homeland following the perspective of Rafael Tello, whose thinking has aroused spe-cial interest in the Pontificate of Pope Franciscus with whom they agree in the assess-ment of popular Catholicism in order to the unity of Latin American culture. | en-US |

Se basa en una reciente edición de textos de las reuniones del equipo de peritos de la Comisión Episcopal de Pastoral de los años 1968 y 1969 en torno a la preparación y recepción de los Documentos de Medellín. Rescata la comprensión de América Latina como un conjunto de naciones independientes in-tegradas en una Patria Grande siguiendo la perspectiva de Rafael Tello, cuyo pensa-miento ha despertado especial interés en el Pontificado del Papa Francisco con quien coinciden en la valoración del catolicismo popular en orden a la unidad cultural de América Latina. | es-ES |
