| dc.description | This study answers the following question: the application of the concepts of alliance, king and judge Yahweh, has not contributed to the presentation of a violent face of God? The language of the alliance involves the imagery of a violent God, because of the covenant theology derived the two great metaphors of Yahweh as king and judge. The representation of Yahweh as king is behind the consideration of Yahweh as a war-rior, being this the epitome of divine violence. For the Lord is King, is also a judge. The metaphorical representation of Yahweh as judge suggests that he himself is deeply outraged by injustice. Which explains their violent actions. God uses violence to disrupt human violence and lead to the creation order in which no violence whatsoever. But biblical faith confesses the divine mercy, that breaks the correlation between guilt and shame, replacing it with asymmetric correspondence between guilt and forgive-ness. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente estudio responde a la siguiente cuestión: la aplicación de los conceptos de alianza, rey y juez a Yahvé, ¿no ha contribuido a la presentación de un rostro violento de Dios? El lenguaje de la alianza comporta la imaginería de un Dios violento, pues de la teología de la alianza derivan las dos grandes metáforas de Yahvé como rey y juez. La representación de Yahvé como rey está detrás de la consideración de Yahvé como guerrero, siendo ésta el máximo exponente de la violencia divina. Porque Yahvé es rey, es también juez. La representación metafórica de Yahvé como juez sugiere que Él mismo se siente profundamente afrentado por la injusticia. Lo cual explica su acción violenta. Dios usa la violencia para trastocar la violencia humana y conducir la crea-ción a un orden en el que no haya violencia alguna. Pero también la fe bíblica confiesa la misericordia divina, que rompe la correlación entre culpa y pena, sustituyéndola por la correspondencia asimétrica entre culpa y perdón. | es-ES |
