dc.descriptionThe article proposes a theological–pastoral reflection that helps to discern the prin-cipal challenges that the new evangelization brings to the life of the Church in Chile, specifically in regards to the complex crisis of ecclesial credibility. This exercise of reflection and discernment is carried out in the context of the Continental Mission stimulated by the Fifth Latin American Episcopal Conference in Aparecida (2007). Also, it will be overviewed at the next Bishops’Synod that will be held in Rome (2012). It will focus on the new evangelization purpose for the transmission of the Christian Faith, coinciding with the beginning of the Year of the Faith (2012-2013) and the fif-tieth anniversary of the opening of the II Vatican Council. The text seeks –in the first place– to define the concept of new evangelization; secondly, presents the challenges of the new evangelization in our ecclesial situation, and finally discusses the chal-lenges for the theological reflection and the pastoral action.en-US
dc.descriptionEl artículo propone una reflexión teológico-pastoral que ayude a discernir los princi-pales desafíos que pone la nueva evangelización a la vida de la Iglesia en Chile, en el complejo escenario actual de crisis de credibilidad eclesial. Este ejercicio de reflexión y discernimiento se realiza en el contexto de la Misión Continental impulsada por la Vª Conferencia del Episcopado Latinoamericano realizada en Aparecida (2007), así como en la proximidad del Sínodo de Obispos que se realizará en Roma (2012), sobre La nueva evangelización para la transmisión de la fe cristiana, coincidiendo con el inicio del Año de la Fe (2012-2013) y los 50 años del inicio del Concilio Vaticano II. El texto busca –en primer lugar– precisar el concepto de nueva evangelización; en un segundo momento, busca caracterizar algunos aspectos del nuevo escenario que está viviendo la Iglesia en Chile; para –en un tercer momento– presentar los desafíos de la nueva evangelización en nuestra situación eclesial, desafíos para la reflexión teológica y para la acción pastoral.es-ES
