The aim of this study was to compare the weight and height anthropometric variables according to the NHANES reference. To carry this out, 161 young soccer players from the Corinthians Sports Club in Sao Paulo, Brazil, between the ages of 11 to 16 were evaluated. The anthropometric variables evaluated were body mass (kg) and height (cm). For the analysis of the results, the descriptive statistics of the arithmetic mean (X), standard deviation (SD) and coefficient of variation (CV) were used, and for determining the significant age group differences, the ANOVA was applied with a probability of (p < 0.001). The results show that athletes from 11 to 16 show rising growth curves when compared with the p50 reference percentile: The young men studied are aboye those values. It is therefore concluded that the soccer players are heavier and taller than the reference.El objetivo del presente estudio fue comparar las variables antropométricas de peso y estatura en función de la referencia de la NHANES. Para lo cual, fueron evaluados 161 jóvenes futbolistas comprendidos entre los 11 a 16 años de edad del Sport Club Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Brasil. Las variables antropométricas evaluadas fueron la masa corporal (kg) y estatura (cm). Para el análisis de los resultados se utilizó la estadística descriptiva de media aritmética (X), desviación estándar (DE) y coeficiente de variación (CV), y para determinar las diferencias significativas entre las edades se aplicó ANOVA con una probabilidad de (p
