dc.descriptionThe purpose of this essay is to verify the compatibility of the requirements that become contradictory because of the use of the terminology in certain cultural contexts:the ideal of self-realization seems to oppose itself to the necessity of following an educational process and the possibility of submitting to moral requirements. With the help of elements of the philosophy of Xavier Zubiri we intend to demonstrate how, at bottom, all human reality is involved in a process of self-realization, due to the fact that the human being is an open entity, structurally moral, that is destined to be carried out through the free appropriation of realities that present themselves to it as possibilities. However, this process does not take place in a vacuum, but rather in the context of family, social, and historical relationships, which are the essential conditions that permit the humanity and its liberty to occur. The educational relationship, whichis understood as the encounter with the other and the reception-verification of atradition, reveals itself, as an indispensable condition for the existence of a truly freesubject capable of an authentic self-realization.en-US
dc.descriptionEl propósito de este ensayo es verificar la compatibilidad de exigencias que resultancontradictorias en el uso que de estos términos se hace en ciertos contextos culturales: el ideal de la autorrealización parece oponerse a la necesidad de pasar por un proceso educativo y a la posibilidad de someterse a exigencias de moralidad. Con la ayuda de elementos de la filosofía de Xavier Zubiri se trata de mostrar cómo, en el fondo, toda realidad humana está envuelta en un proceso de autorrealización, debido al hechode que es una esencia abierta,  estructuralmente moral, o sea, destinada a realizarse a través de la libre apropiación de realidades que se le presentan como posibilidades.Sin embargo, este proceso no acontece en el vacío, sino dentro de relaciones familiares, sociales e históricas que son condiciones esenciales para que acontezca lo humano y su libertad. La relación educativa, entendida como el encuentro con el otro y la recepción-verificación de una tradición, se revela, entonces, como una condición imprescindible para que exista un sujeto verdaderamente libre, capaz de una auténtica autorrealizaci´ón.es-ES
