dc.descriptionValparaíso attracts interests in various fields of public and private activity, but it is not a destination for real estate investments or profitable restorations. This contrasts sharply with the status of a World Heritage Site granted by UNESCO in 2003. A series of social problems such as garbage, crime, stray dogs, graffiti and the management of cleaning in ravines and road connectivity between the hills together with the absence of open and updated public information on heritage, historical, public and private properties, has generated that the different actors do not articulate their social capital to generate synergies in pursuit of the improvement and rehabilitation of the city, its most vivid expression being the lack of trust between them and speculation. The present work aimed to identify the effect of trust on the articulation of social capital among community actors. For this, action research was applied, with an intervention model aimed at building trust. The findings show that an explicit and sustained action to build trust gives space for the articulation of the social capital of the interested parties to retract the speculative processesen-US
dc.descriptionValparaíso atrae intereses en varios campos de la actividad pública y privada, pero no es destino de inversiones inmobiliarias, ni de restauraciones con rentabilidad. Esto contrasta notoriamente con el estatus de patrimonio de la humanidad que le otorgó UNESCO en el año 2003. Una serie de problemas sociales como la basura, la delincuencia los perros vagos, los grafitis y la gestión de limpiezas en quebradas y conectividad vial entre los cerros unido a la ausencia de una información pública abierta y actualizada sobre los inmuebles patrimoniales, históricos, de uso público y privado, ha generado que los distintos actores no articulen su capital social para generar sinergias en pos de la mejora y rehabilitación de la ciudad, siendo su expresión más viva la falta de confianza entre ellos y la especulación. El presente trabajo, tuvo por objetivo identificar el efecto de la confianza sobre la articulación del capital social entre los actores de la comunidad. Para ello, se aplicó investigación acción, con un modelo de intervención orientado a la creación de confianza. Los hallazgos dan cuenta que una acción explícita y sostenida de fomento a la confianza, da espacio a que la articulación del capital social de las partes interesadas retraiga los procesos especulativos.es-ES
