| dc.description | The following lines highlight the inspiring process behind the Vetana Research-Creation Project, which aims to explore the cultural identity of Vetas (Santander), a Colombian municipality considered the highest (3350 meters above sea level) and one of the oldest in the country with over 450 years of history. It serves as a backdrop to address the lack of recognition towards local women inhabitants/creators. The project focuses on investigating the absence of recognition for these women, deeming them essential in transmitting and preserving traditional artisanal skills. However, their value extends beyond this, emphasizing the appreciation of their role in society, particularly from the perspective of the body-territory. Through co-design methodologies, the initiative seeks to acknowledge and value the crucial role of Vetana women in shaping the cultural identity of their territory. The creation of co-creative spaces is proposed, such as participatory workshops, fostering the participatory engagement of these women in the quest for their identity through dialogue, traditional knowledge, and the need to establish these spaces as social and cultural alternatives for future generations. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las siguientes líneas destacan el proceso inspirador detrás del proyecto de investigación-creación Vetana, que busca explorar la identidad cultural de Vetas (Santander), municipio colombiano considerado el más alto (3350 m.s.n.m.) y uno de los más antiguos del país, con más de 450 años de historia, escenario desde donde abordaremos la falta de reconocimiento hacia las mujeres pobladoras y creadoras locales. El proyecto se enfoca en investigar esa ausencia de reconocimiento, en tanto son esenciales en la transmisión y preservación de oficios artesanales tradicionales. Sin embargo, su valor va más allá, centrándose en la apreciación de su rol en la sociedad, particularmente desde la perspectiva del cuerpo-territorio. A través de metodologías de co-diseño, la iniciativa busca reconocer y valorar el papel crucial de las mujeres vetanas en la construcción de la identidad cultural de su territorio, proponiendo la creación de espacios co-creativos, como talleres, que fomenten un encuentro participativo en búsqueda de su identidad, a través del diálogo, saberes tradicionales y la necesidad de consolidar estos espacios como alternativas sociales y culturales para las futuras generaciones. | es-ES |
