dc.descriptionGender studies have alerted us to how knowledge has historically been produced and validated from an androcentric perspective, devaluing and rendering invisible certain groups of people as knowledge generators. Given that there are still gaps in the field of book publishing that require attention, we invite reflection on the relationship of women with the Chilean publishing industry, focusing on the experience of Editorial Tegualda (1945-1950), a publishing label founded by writer Gladys Thein and Graciela Marín Urzúa. From a feminist perspective, considering both discourse and visuality, our work focuses on reviewing texts written by both publishers, photographs, illustrations, interviews, and testimonials from individuals with whom they established emotional and collaborative ties. By paying attention to the voices of the protagonists, our intention is to contribute to the validation of women’s experiences, recognizing their diversity and their ability to create design objects and generate knowledge within the framework of their practices.en-US
dc.descriptionLos estudios de género nos alertan sobre cómo el conocimiento ha sido históricamente producido y validado desde una perspectiva androcéntrica, que desvaloriza e invisibiliza a ciertos grupos de personas como generadoras de conocimiento. Dado que en el ámbito de la edición de libros aún existen vacíos que requieren atención, invitamos a reflexionar sobre la relación de las mujeres con la industria editorial chilena, centrándonos en la experiencia de Editorial Tegualda (1945-1950), un sello fundado por la escritora Gladys Thein y Graciela Marín Urzúa. Desde una perspectiva feminista, que considera tanto el discurso como la visualidad, nuestro trabajo se enfoca en la revisión de textos escritos por las propias editoras, fotografías, ilustraciones, entrevistas y testimonios de personas 7 con quienes establecieron lazos afectivos y de colaboración. Al prestar atención a las voces de ambas protagonistas, nuestra intención es contribuir a la validación de las experiencias de las mujeres, reconociendo su diversidad y capacidad para crear objetos de diseño y generar conocimiento en el marco de sus prácticas.es-ES
