| dc.description | This article studies the influence of the Argentinian government of Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1989) in the Chilean transition. During his presidency, there was an active effort to promote the democratization process in Chile, by supporting the democratic opposition and by realizing diplomatic efforts to diminish the actions of the communists’ armed groups. We also explore the lecture than the Chilean actors made about the Argentinian transitions, especially the lections they learned about the relations with the military, human rights and economic reforms. | en-US |

Durante su mandato se realizaron importantes esfuerzos por impulsar el proceso de democratización en Chile, apoyando a la oposición democrática y realizando gestiones diplomáticas para disminuir el accionar de grupos armados comunistas. También analizamos la lectura que realizaron los actores chilenos sobre el proceso político argentino, especialmente las lecciones que aprendieron sobre las relaciones con los militares, los derechos humanos y las reformas económicas. | es-ES |
