| dc.description | In this article analyses the Parish Records of Concepción del Uruguay Village (1783-1820) using them as a source to identify the vast diversity of ethnicities that inhabited the lower section of Uruguay river. We try to identify where were these natives from, furthermore if the native migrants, vastly guaranies, we shall recognise, from an analysing their anthroponym’s, the Charrua, minuana/güenoa or chaná presence. This team applied an interdisciplinary approach between history and linguistics, suggesting hypothesis about the possible origin non-guaraní (presumably Charrua) of some of the family names found. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo nos proponemos analizar las Actas Parroquiales de la Villa de la Concepción del Uruguay (1783-1820) como fuente para identificar los diversos grupos étnicos que poblaron el tramo inferior del río Uruguay, buscando captar de dónde provenían dichos habitantes originarios y tratando de determinar si entre los migrantes originarios, mayoritariamente guaraníes, se podría reconocer, a partir de un análisis de sus antropónimos, la presencia charrúa, minuana/güenoa o chaná. Para ello encaramos un enfoque interdisciplinario entre la historia y la lingüística, planteando algunas hipótesis sobre el posible origen no guaraní (presumiblemente charrúa) de algunos de los apellidos encontrados. | es-ES |
