The aim of the present research was to know and establish scales of the results obtained with the Raven progressive matrices test in a sample of physical education students from various universities in Chile. 491 students from three universities in Santiago de Chile were evaluated. The results show that Figure A4 and B3 were 100% successful, while Figure E8 was only 10.4% correct. There were no significant differences in Raven scores between women and men, between public and private universities, or between years of study. The 25th percentile was 43 points, the 50th percentile was 47 points and the 75th percentile was 51 points. We conclude that the results obtained in the present study are similar to those reported in previous studies in physical education students.El objetivo de la presente investigación fue conocer y establecer baremos de los resultados obtenidos con la prueba de matrices progresivas de Raven en una muestra de estudiantes de educación física de diversas universidades de Chile. Se evaluaron 491 estudiantes de tres universidades de Santiago de Chile. Los resultados muestran que la figura A4 y B3 obtuvieron un 100% de aciertos, en tanto, la figura E8 sólo logro un 10,4% de respuestas correctas. No se observaron diferencias significativas en los puntajes del Raven entre mujeres y hombres, entre universidades públicas y privadas, ni entre años cursados de la carrera. El percentil 25 fue de 43 puntos, el percentil 50 fue de 47 puntos y el percentil 75 fue de 51 puntos. Se concluye que los resultados obtenidos en el presente estudio son similares a los reportados en trabajos anteriores en estudiantes de Educación Física.
