dc.descriptionSmoking is one of the main addictions to which humanity has been exposed throughout history, with significant negative effects on people’s health, and which continues to cause millions of deaths worldwide every year. Electronic cigarettes that have emerged in recent decades have maintained this trend of traditional tobacco in relation to producing addictions and diseases in people. Due to the above, this update is proposed to show the damage it produces in people particularly vulnerable to its negative effects such as children and adolescents with the aim of raising awareness and preventing them from starting to use tobacco in any of its forms, be it traditional tobacco or electronic cigarettes.en-US
dc.descriptionEl tabaquismo es una de las principales adicciones a las cuales se ha expuesto la humanidad a lo largo de la historia con efectos negativos significativos en la salud de las personas y que sigue produ­ciendo millones de muertes a nivel mundial cada año. Los cigarrillos electrónicos surgidos en las últi­mas décadas han mantenido esta tendencia del tabaco tradicional en relación con producir adicciones y enfermedades en las personas. Debido a lo anterior, se plantea esta actualización para evidenciar el daño que produce en personas particularmente vulnerables a sus efectos negativos como lo son los niños y adolescentes, con el objetivo de generar conciencia y evitar que se inicien en el consumo de tabaco en cualquiera de sus formas, sea tabaco tradicional o cigarrillos electrónicos.es-ES
