“Parto” is a tango composed and performed by the duo made up of Patricia Barone and Javier González, and is included on their album Complicidad (2015). Based on this song I propose to reflect, from a feminist perspective, on how the concept of motherhood is musically explored in the tango of this century. Starting from the study of feminist theories, I investigate first the history of the duo, its formation, and the compositions that have themes related to "Parto", in articulation with human rights movements. Subsequently, I analyze motherhood in this tango in relation to the political and social moment in which it premieres, which intersects with feminist actions demanding the legalization of abortion and working against gender-based violence. In this sense, I study how art dialogues with the formation of affections, emotions and collective subjectivities and to what extent the object of study is inscribed, from a musical genre such as tango, historically heteronormative and androcentric, in the feminist movement and in the human rights movement as a political act.“Parto” es un tango compuesto e interpretado por el dúo que integran Patricia Barone y Javier González, y está incluido en su disco Complicidad (2015)1. A partir de esta canción me propongo reflexionar, desde una perspectiva feminista, sobre cómo se expone musicalmente el concepto de maternidad en el tango de este siglo. Partiendo del estudio de teorías feministas, indago primero en la historia del dúo, su conformación, y en las composiciones que tienen temáticas afines a “Parto”, en articulación con los movimientos de derechos humanos. En un segundo momento, analizo la maternidad en este tango en relación al momento político y social en el que se estrena, el cual se cruza con las acciones feministas de reclamo por la legalización del aborto y la no violencia por razones de género. En este sentido, estudio cómo el arte dialoga con la formación de afectos, emociones y subjetividades colectivas y en qué medida el objeto de estudio se inscribe, a partir de un género musical como el tango, históricamente heteronormado y androcéntrico, en el movimiento feminista y en el movimiento de derechos humanos como un acto político.
