The encyclical Caritas in Veritate by the Holy Father, Benedict XVI, is already considered to be an interesting document in the long tradition of social teaching in the Catholic Church. In this study, the most relevant points of the third pontifical letter are analyzed in order to examine their significance in the field of social ethics.La encíclica Caritas in veritate del Santo Padre Benedicto XVI es ya considerada como un interesante documento en la larga tradición de la enseñanza social de la Iglesia Católica. En el presente estudio se analizan algunos puntos más importantes de la tercera carta papal, con la intención de examinar su importancia para la ética social.
