In general terms, a large portion of the debates have stemmed from the complaints of those students who perceive that educational institutions do not adequately prepare them for active life. In this sense, there are numerous writers, especially in essays but also in novels, who have reflected on the educational landscape and consequently presented a critical view of it. En líneas generales, gran parte de los debates han partido de las quejas de aquellos estudiantes que conciben que las instituciones formativas no los preparan para lo que es la vita activa. En este sentido, no son pocos los escritores, especialmente en ensayos, pero también en novelas, que han reflexionado sobre el panorama educativo y, en consecuencia, expuesto una visión crítica sobre el mismo.
