In this article I try to show an interesting ambiguity that arises in Borges’s position with respect to the noir genre. On the one hand, Borges has a series of reluctance against the type of realistic and violent story that emerged in the United States. On the other hand, he seems to embrace elements of the noir genre in some of his stories. Thus, through three of his stories I will try to show the black overtones that part of borgean literature contains.En este artículo muestro una interesante ambigüedad que surge de la posición de Borges respecto del género negro. Por un lado, Borges tiene una serie de reticencias frente al tipo de relato realista y violento surgido en los Estados Unidos. Por el otro, parece abrazar elementos del género negro en algunos de sus cuentos. Así, mediante tres de sus relatos trataré de mostrar los visos negros que contiene parte de la literatura borgiana.
