Our position expressed in Estudios Atacameños No. 2 pleased our readers. We will strive to maintain it, even though one might think that between the first and second issues the program's perspectives changed. It is true that they may constantly evolve, as our journal will keep pace with ongoing research and projects. Some issues will be shorter, while others will be more extensive and detailed. Still others will be published urgently to present conclusions that have been patiently awaited for years. On this last point, we wish to emphasize it today.Nuestra toma de posición expresada en Estudios Atacameños nº 2 agradó a nuestros lectores. Buscaremos  mantenerla a pesar de que se podría  pensar que entre el primer y segundo número las perspectivas del programa cambiaron.  Es cierto,  podrán cambiar constantemente, pues nuestra revista seguirá el ritmo impuesto por las investigaciones y trabajos en desarrollo. Algunas ediciones serán más breves, otras, al contrario, se presentarán más extensas y detalladas. Otras saldrán con urgencia para exponer conclusiones esperadas pacientemente desde hace años.  En este último punto queremos insistir hoy.
