| dc.description | This article explores Emmanuel Levinas's political thought through his ethics of the face and its relation to the concept of alienation developed by Guy Debord. It analyzes how alienation, rather than being merely a state of loss, becomes a means of ethical self-discovery and openness toward the other. From this perspective, a connection is established between Levinas's ethics and Debord's critique of capitalism and dehumanization, integrating the shared historical context of both authors. The study concludes that Levinas's ethics is not only an individual response but also a proposal for social and political transformation grounded in alterity. This work offers a novel perspective by linking these authors around responsibility and social justice. | en |
| dc.description | Este artículo examina el pensamiento político de Emmanuel Levinas a través de su ética del rostro y su relación con el concepto de alienación desarrollado por Guy Debord. Se analiza cómo la alienación, lejos de ser únicamente un estado de pérdida, se convierte en un medio para el descubrimiento ético del yo y la apertura hacia el otro. Desde este enfoque, se establece un vínculo entre la ética levinasiana y las críticas de Debord al capitalismo y la deshumanización, integrando el contexto histórico compartido por ambos. El estudio concluye que la ética de Levinas no solo constituye una respuesta individual, sino también una propuesta para la transformación social y política basada en la alteridad. Este trabajo aporta una perspectiva novedosa al conectar a ambos autores en torno a la responsabilidad y la justicia social. | es |
