| dc.description | In this article, our primary objective is to comprehend the formation of a series of alliances that enabled the integration of technical objects into the world of rap in Santiago, Chile, spanning from the mid-1980s to 1997. It highlights two key aspects: how technology strengthened groups and fostered creativity and music distribution. We propose interpreting the rap scene during this period through its sociotechnical networks, analyzing the production, recording, and distribution operations of albums and demos, either through self-management or collaboration with independent record labels. | dc.description | En este artículo nuestro objetivo principal es comprender la formación de una serie de alianzas que permitieron la incorporación de objetos técnicos en el mundo del rap de Santiago de Chile, abarcando desde mediados de la década de 1980 hasta 1997. Destacamos dos aspectos clave: cómo la tecnología fortaleció grupos, por un lado, y habilitó la creatividad y distribución musical, por otro. Proponemos interpretar el rap en esta época a través de sus redes sociotécnicas, analizando las operaciones producción, grabación y distribución de álbumes y demos, mediante autogestión o colaboración con sellos independientes.
