During the dictatorship, repression against the Mapuche people intensified, and in that context, Mapuche women, though often rendered invisible, played a key role in the resistance. They organized and led political and cultural movements, facing violence that was political, racial, and gender-based. This research seeks to recover their voices and experiences, challenging patriarchal narratives that have masculinized Mapuche history.
