This essay analyses feudal lordship in modern Sardinia, examining the historiographical debate and current research perspectives. It then reconstructs the history of the construction of feudalism on the island, the necessities that led to its implantation in the late Middle Ages, the difficulties of the system at the time of its birth and its subsequent evolution, attempting to highlight the turnover of elites at turning points. Attention is also paid to the feudal life of the communities and the tributes that vassals were forced to endure, but also their ability to negotiate with the lord for advantages and franchises.Este ensayo analiza el señorío feudal en la Cerdeña moderna, examinando el debate historiográfico y las perspectivas actuales de la investigación. A continuación, reconstruye la historia de la construcción del feudalismo en la isla, las necesidades que condujeron a su implantación a finales de la Edad Media, las dificultades del sistema en el momento de su nacimiento y su evolución posterior, tratando de destacar la rotación de las élites en los momentos cruciales. Asimismo, se presta atención a la vida feudal de las comunidades y a los tributos que los vasallos se veían obligados a soportar, pero también a su capacidad para negociar con el señor ventajas y franquicias.
