| dc.description | Framed by the field of history of books and publishing studies, this article proposes a quantitative and qualitative reconstruction of the catalogue by Editorial Ayacucho S.R.L (E.A). E.A. was a society composed by Paraguayan liberalist politicians and intellectuals in Buenos Aires during their exile in mid 20th century. Between 1943 and 1957 they published 139 titles. It is not a coincidence that E.A.’s experience is framed within what was considered Argentine publishing industry’s golden age, which demonstrates the impossibility of facing a history of books and publishing in Paraguay, disregarding the regional and international context. E.A.’s changing editorial policies and strategies, differentiated into two clear stages, make this evident. | en-US |
| dc.description | Enmarcado en el campo de estudios de la historia del libro y la edición, el presente texto se propone una reconstrucción tanto cuantitativa como cualitativa del catálogo de Editorial Ayacucho S.R.L (E.A), sociedad integrada por políticos e intelectuales del liberalismo paraguayo en el exilio porteño de inicios de la década del cuarenta del siglo XX, que entre 1943 y 1957 publicaron 139 títulos. La experiencia de E.A, enmarcada no casualmente dentro de los que se consideró como la edad de oro de la industria editorial argentina, demuestra la imposibilidad de encarar una historia del libro y la edición en el Paraguay prescindiendo del marco regional e internacional. Sus cambiantes políticas y estrategias editoriales diferenciadas en dos claras etapas dan cuenta de ello. | es-ES |
