dc.descriptionThis article describes the creation of the School Medical Section pamphlets in Mérida, Yucatán, during the early years of the Mexican Revolution. It analyzes the important role these pamphlets played in conveying habits considered "hygienic or healthy" among primary school teachers and students in the capital of the state of Yucatán. The article points out that the revolutionary government of Yucatán used this form of health outreach to legitimize itself as the protector of the health of an important sector of society, young people, during a time of political upheaval.en-US

Se analiza el “papel” relevante que tuvieron esos impresos para la transmisión de hábitos considerados como “higiénicos o saludables” entre los maestros y estudiantes de la educación primaria en la capital del estado de Yucatán. El texto señala que el gobierno revolucionario de Yucatán utilizó esta forma de divulgación sanitaria para legitimarse como el protector de la salud de un sector importante de la sociedad, los jóvenes, en un momento de convulsión política.es-ES
