This article explores the media controversies that occurred during the 2019 Venezuelan presidential-humanitarian crisis. Marked by Juan Guaidó's self-proclamation as interim president, the event attracted media attention. While certain agents highlight the hostility of the opposition and U.S. imperialism, others appealed to the ineffectiveness of the Venezuelan government, aided by Russian and Chinese interests. This study examines the strategies used by the international press to cover controversies about the origin, development and resolution milestones of this crisis in the contemporary era.Este artículo explora las controversias mediáticas ocurridas durante la crisis presidencial-humanitaria venezolana de 2019. Marcada por la autoproclamación de Juan Guaidó como presidente interino, el hecho atrajo atención mediática. Mientras ciertos agentes destacan la hostilidad de la oposición y del imperialismo estadounidense, otros apelan a la inoperancia del gobierno venezolano, auxiliado por intereses rusos y chinos. El presente estudio examina las estrategias con que la prensa internacional trató las controversias sobre los hitos de origen, desarrollo y resolución de esta crisis en la era contemporánea.
