dc.descriptionThis article analyzes the digital manifestation during the National Strike in Colombia in 2021. It focuses on the dynamics developed from and around the city of Cali between April 28 and June 28, through trends on (X). The study highlights how Cali, the epicenter of both physical protest and online mobilization, utilized this network service not only to express opinions, document, and disseminate protest actions but also to articulate social demands, shed light on the state’s response, and strengthen resistance through users’ connective participation. In this context, a struggle for meanings and interpretations unfolded, often leading to confrontations involving humans and non-humans (bots and trolls), where algorithms played a significant role in shaping the climate of opinion. The methodology was qualitative and interpretive, incorporating elements of digital ethnography.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza la manifestación digital durante el Paro Nacional en Colombia en 2021. Se centra en la dinámica desarrollada desde y en torno a la ciudad de Cali entre el 28 de abril y el 28 de junio, a través de las tendencias en (X). Se muestra cómo desde Cali, epicentro de la protesta física y la movilización en línea, se usó este servicio de red no solo para expresar opiniones, documentar y difundir acciones de protesta, sino para articular demandas sociales, visibilizar la respuesta estatal y fortalecer la resistencia mediante la participación conectiva de los usuarios. En este contexto, se libró una disputa por sentidos y significados, derivada en muchas ocasiones en confrontaciones de las que también participaron no humanos (bots y trolls), y en las que los algoritmos desempeñaron un papel en la formación del clima de opinión. La metodología fue cualitativa, interpretativa, incorporando elementos de la etnografía digital.es-ES
