dc.descriptionThe present work raises the situation of women in terms of access to police institutions. It is approached from the perspective of the organizational structure of human resources, based on the collection of quantitative and qualitative data. The objective of the article focused on the exploration of the number of women that the Mendoza police have, those who occupy positions in special units, and in terms of the number that suffer some type of workplace violence in a gender context. A descriptive design was chosen through the triangulation of information from documents, added to interviews with key actors. In addition, an analysis of primary data was included, with a quantitative approach. The result of the investigation showed that the Mendoza police have advanced at the same rate as other Latin American countries. Likewise, it was identified that the masculinized stereotype continues to predominate in the police forces analyzed. Finally, a series of recommendations produced based on contributions from various authors and researchers of this article were incorporated.en-US
dc.descriptionEl presente trabajo plantea la situación de las mujeres en cuanto al acceso a las instituciones policiales. Se aborda desde la perspectiva de la estructura organizacional del recurso humano, a partir de la recopilación de datos cuantitativos y cualitativos. El objetivo del artículo se centró en la exploración de la cantidad de mujeres que tiene la policía de Mendoza, aquellas que ocupan cargos en unidades especiales, y en cuanto a la cantidad que sufren algún tipo de violencia laboral en contexto de género. Se optó por un diseño descriptivo realizado mediante la triangulación de información proveniente de documentos, sumado a entrevistas realizadas a actores claves. Además se incluyó un análisis de datos primarios, con enfoque cuantitativo. El resultado de la investigación arrojó que la policía de Mendoza ha avanzado al mismo ritmo que otros países iberoamericanos. Asimismo, se identificó que el estereotipo masculinizado continúa predominando en las fuerzas policiales analizadas. Finalmente, se incorporó una serie de recomendaciones producidas con base en aportes de diversos autores y de investigadores de este artículo.es-ES
