El autor revisa brevemente las veinticinco sentencias de fondo emitidas contra el Estado peruano por la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, entre 1995 y el año 2009, las medidas adoptadas por dicho Estado en los ámbitos legislativo, administrativo y jurisprudencial. Pese a que ninguna de las veinticinco sentencias han sido declaradas cumplidas en su totalidad por la Corte Interamericana, por lo que se mantiene abierta la supervisión de su cumplimiento, el documento reflexiona acerca del impacto significativo de la jurisprudencia de la Corte en la protección y promoción de los derechos humanos en el Perú, en especial al haber comprendido a importantes órganos autónomos del Estado peruano como el Congreso de la República, el Poder Ejecutivo, el Poder Judicial, Ministerio Público y Tribunal Constitucional. Finalmente, el autor formula algunas propuestas para un mejor cumplimiento de las sentencias supranacionales.The author checks briefly twenty-five judgments issuedagainst the Peruvian State by the Inter-American Court of HumanRights, between 1995 and the year 2009, the measures adopted bythe mentioned State in the legislative, administrative and jurisprudentialareas.
