dc.descriptionParadero 14 of La Florida is a commercial sub-center of Santiago, interchange hub between the center and the southern periphery of the city. This research aims to complement the studies that have been made of the place proposing a systemic vision that understands the different elements that give character to the space used by the users who visit the place. The focus is on the different commercial typologies complemented by transport infrastructures, which, along the historical evolution of the sub-center, have conditioned the intense use of the spaces of Paradero 14. This study seeks to contribute to the investigation of urban sub-centers that define important interchange hubs, and the way in which these places should develop harmoniously with the city and its inhabitants.en-US
dc.descriptionEl paradero 14 de La Florida es un subcentro comercial y de servicios de Santiago, nodo de intercambio modal entre el centro y la periferia sur de la ciudad. Desde sus inicios este lugar surge como centro comunal, pero es hasta la llegada de Mall Plaza Vespucio cuando logra posicionarse como subcentro metropolitano. Diversas investigaciones han problematizado los fenómenos urbanos del mall y su conectividad metropolitana. Sin embargo, no se ha profundizado sobre las transformaciones que el espacio público de este enclave ha experimentado, en relación con el comercio, parte primordial de su origen. El presente artículo caracteriza diversas tipologías comerciales que han determinado el uso de los espacios públicos del Paradero 14 consignando el cambio de escala desde un equipamiento comercial comunal a un subcentro metropolitano, siendo posible reconocer su historia, desde que ubicó al borde de la ciudad, hasta que pasó a estar totalmente inmerso por ella.es-ES
