| dc.description | Environmental education centres, as figures of new reactivators and urban attractors, could achieve their functions in the following conclusions: They serve as a bridge on the limit between the urban and natural environment, and are activators of a social-environmental awareness. They teach future generations to respect the environment, and incorporate passive/active bioclimatic strategies. They work with construction techniques, materials and local labour, and become laboratories for the development of new bioclimatic techniques. Likewise, they use natural and recyclable materials, promote architectural sustainability, and have a specific program aimed at environmental education. They also complement school environmental education programs and strengthen the controlled protection of the natural environment. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los centros de educación ambiental, como figuras de nuevos reactivadores y atractores urbanos, podrían concretar sus funciones en las siguientes conclusiones: sirven de puente en el límite entre entorno urbano y entorno natural; son activadores de la conciencia social medioambiental; forman a futuras generaciones en el uso respetuoso del medio ambiente; incorporan estrategias bioclimáticas pasivas y/o activas; trabajan con técnicas constructivas, materiales y mano de obra locales; se convierten en laboratorios para el desarrollo de nuevas técnicas bioclimáticas; utilizan materiales naturales y reciclables; promueven la sostenibilidad en la arquitectura; cuentan con un programa específico destinado a la educación ambiental; complementan los programas escolares de educación ambiental; refuerzan la protección controlada del entorno natural. | es-ES |
